A landscape designer by trade, Russ Hench, of Canton, OH brings his many talents to the indoors through artwork in a variety of media. Pencil, pen and ink, painting, collage, assemblage and metal repoussé, a French technique dating from the mid-1800s wherein a design or drawing is inscribed in metal, are but some of his media of choice. Hench’s eye for design, color and balance is evident in all of his work, as well as a tasteful sense of eclecticism in more than a few pieces. Hench’s framed works range in size from 12 inches by 12 inches repoussé sun faces to grand mixed media canvases more than a yard in either direction which would readily become the focal point of any space.
